The bay and ocean plants and creatures have much to teach us from the hard as nails abyssal threads and holdfasts that mussels and algae, respectively, use to cling to the rocky shoreline to the regenerative arms of sea stars and the symbiotic behavior of sea anemones with their resident phytoplankton.  We'll visit the shorelines of Marin County to find out more about the plants, algae and creatures that live along the coast to inspire our model-making activity.  Tidepooling, games, hands-on experimentation and data collection, and drawing will make up a good portion of our week.  Other highlights will be boogieboarding with the dolphins at Muir Beach and kayaking with the seals on Bolinas Lagoon.  DROP OFF/PICK UP:  Mill Valley Middle School Skate Park
